Chamber Children's Scholarship Award
In order to give the dependents of our Chamber members and their qualified employees the opportunity to pursue the advancement of their scholastic, athletic and/or cultural education, the Chamber will be awarding Scholarship Awards of $1,000 to qualifying candidates. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and contribution to the community.
To be eligible:
Candidate must be the dependent of a Chamber member or their qualified employee
Candidate must be entering the 12th grade, post secondary education or trade school and a legal resident
Employee of Chamber Member must have worked full time for employer for 1 year or more (to be verified)
Candidate must submit completed application
Candidate must provide 2 letters of recommendation within the last 12 months from someone other than a family member (e.g. teacher or employer)
Candidate must submit a current report card/transcripts with application
Students applying under the Special Needs category must provide a Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan.
The Chamber must be able to verify the recipient's enrollment in the qualifying program.
Selection of the recipients will be at the sole discretion of the Selection Committee. Each application will be evaluated individually.
Each scholarship award is limited to a one-time $1,000 award for the purpose of continuing education in school. The scholarship award decision of the judges is final.
Applications are due no later than May 15, 2024. Late applications will not be considered.
